PUBLIC RECORD - All case information available for retrieval on this website that is considered a public record may be subject to disclosure under Ohio’s Public Records Act, R.C. 149.43 in response to a valid public records request. That Act defines a public record as: (1) any document, device or item, regardless of physical form or characteristic, including an electronic record; (2) that is created or received by, or coming under the jurisdiction of a public office; and (3) that documents the organization, functions, policies, decisions, procedures, operations, or other activities of the office. Accordingly, you are hereby advised that Blue Ash Mayor’s Court may release, in connection with a valid public records request, information including, but not limited to the following: (1) your name; (2) your address; (3) your ticket number; (4) the date of your offense; (5) your case number; (6) your court date; (7) the offense charged; (8) your plea; (9) the outcome of the case; (10) your date of birth; (11) your race; (12) your gender; (13) whether you provided proof of insurance at the time of the offense, if applicable; and (14) the costs, fines, and fees assessed and paid.
Blue Ash Mayor’s Court will not release, however, records that are prohibited from being released under state or federal law because said records are confidential. Some commonly requested records that are confidential include:
- Social security numbers;
- Attorney-client privileged information and trial preparation records;
- Records of ongoing investigations;
- Medical records;
- BMV records;
- Records that a judge ordered to be sealed per a statute; and
- Residential and familial information of peace officers, firefighters, EMT’s, prosecutors, children’s services workers, and corrections officers.
COLLECTION OF INFORMATION - For security purposes, a log is maintained of each access of this site. This log includes the point of origin of access, as identified by the internet address of the computer through which the access occurs. In addition, payments made as the result of interactions with this site will be logged and tied to the case against which the payment was made such that the payment may be recorded and the case closed. No credit card information of any kind is maintained on the server. No social security numbers are retained by this program. Nonetheless, the maintainers of this site and other parties acting in the interest of Blue Ash Mayor's Court reserve the right to review any and all such logged data as part of:
- The normal operation and maintenance of this site;
- The record keeping required to track payments; and/or
- Any preemptive or reactive security audits that may be deemed appropriate per the judgment of either the Blue Ash Mayor's Court or the maintainers of this site.
